Union Ave has amazing wood fired pizza. They also have homemade pasta. I was excited to try the pasta (since made fresh) and I ordered a little out of my comfort zone but was sadly still a little disappointed by the dish. I ordered the garden fresh pasta since it was supposed to be flavored with fresh lemon and Parmesan. It looked and tasted a lot like chicken ramen. I couldn’t taste any lemon nor did I find any parm. Honestly, it felt like I got the wrong meal. But it still tasted great and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The only reason I have four stars is because the description didn’t match the meal and the portion sizing is disappointing at best. We had a table of 10 and we all joked we got the kids meals. Not even kidding. The cheese appetizer is amazing — get it!! The service was a struggle — but I never expect much with big tables. All the dishes were out prior to silverware (we had our food annd had to ask for silverware) and my salad came after my meal… weird, right? The atmosphere is fun and artsy and energetic. The people we met made it a great experience. When I go again (and I def will) I’ll order the pizza. It’s exactly what all pizza should be like. I recognize large tables can be hard. I later found out there is a back room we could have requested. I think better service would have had the insight to simply supply us with that space without asking. Surely 10 people are going to be a loud bunch and spend plenty of money. I would have been impressed if they would have done that. One friend who is a local said ‘you have to request it’ but I called 9 days prior to our reservation and was never told it was an option. Now I’ll know I guess.

If you enjoy flavor and perfect portion sizes. This is the place to go. Pasta is immaculate, appetizers are flavorful and packs a punch, and the cocktail specials are never bad. Been here 4 times now and I have never left hungry or unsatisfied.

Favorite spot in Fergus! Gluten free pizza, gluten free pasta, great appetizers and drinks. I always order extra to have leftovers.

New to the restaurant. Decided to go there because our son loved it. Had great food, service, and cool vibe. Will definitely go again. The jalapeño poppers appetizer were special as was the truffle short rib pasta. The margarita was also excellent.

I recommend their food. I took a call to the restaurant for a pickup order. I ordered the bone-in wings , the tai flavored , and the stone fired supreme pizza. All SO GOOD. And good customer service!

If you’re looking for a hidden treasure this is the place to be. I personally enjoyed the truffle pasta with shrimp. The jalapeño popper pizza is amazing as well. The drinks are delicious and they have fresh ingredients for both their food and drinks. I will definitely be back to enjoy the great food, drinks, and company.

So happy to see this new version of Union doing well! We had a lovely dinner on their back patio which is quiet and our table was mostly shaded. Definitely enjoyed the spicy margarita, tried the shrimp Rangoon special, and I had the truffle pasta. My favorite thing to get here is the Thai pizza—the flavor combo is so unique and delicious!

This place is a gem!! The Walleye was perfect—light, flakey, beautifully seasoned. Loved the pickled fiddleheads and the excellent service by manager Jaden. So gracious with a couple special requests for my 80-something mom and aunt. Next time we are in town, we will go back for the daytime cafe, Toast, as well.
